Idealist, a nonprofit job board and pillar of the nonprofit community, wanted to create a tool that advocated for salary transparency, fair pay, and informed decision making when it came to nonprofit careers. Not only would this product help employees, but it would also inform employers about larger industry standards. As lead designer, I was tasked with creating the data-gathering survey, salary report, and interactive calculator that would provide users with salary information, along with the strategy on how to collect it and what could be done once it was obtained.
